Slice of Time

Time as the saying goes, is what you make it.  And the clocks in Projects' "Building Timepieces" Collection are as much a design statement as a measure of time.

Clocks are something we're always glancing at. They're the visual equivalent of background noise on the radio or TV.  All the more reason they should be like works of art on the kitchen or living room wall.

Following up on the success of Building Timepieces watch and alarm clock collections seven world-renowned architects were commissioned to bring a fresh vision to the standard wall clock. Each clock in the collection - from Michael Graves' "Newark Museum Clock" to Stanley Tigerman's "Flying Angel" to Arquitectonica/Laurinda Spear's "Guangzhou" - reflect the architect's signature style.

Architects are chosen for their extraordinary contribution to 20th century architecture, particularly their innovative approach to the design of public spaces such as museums and performing arts centers. Without actually reinventing the clock, they were able to bring a new design aesthetic to something that's so central to our lives.
