Selbert-Perkins design is a cutting edge multi-media design house with roots in landscape architecture and graphic design. It is this pension for graphic detail that Partners Clifford Selbert and Robin Perkins play upon to create the hyperboles of the UPC Bar Code Clocks.

Astronomy Clock (2000)

As the mechanical clock could not be invented before the toothed gear, Astrolabes were common place in the 15th century. A tool by which you measure the distance among the moon and the stars. Selbert-Perkins' Astronomy Clock draws it inspiration from these forces. Each hour is representative of an astrological planet and created in colors of gray, yellow and brown. The Astronomy Clock forces one to ponder the hows and whys.
