Bernado Fort- Brescia, in their firm, Arquitecton ica. Together, they have pursued an unconventional modernism that is both abstract and romantic, playful as well as dramatic, and forceful. First recognized for its flamboyant contributions to Miami's skyline in buildings such as the Atlantis, "the building with a hole in the middle", Arquitectonica has earned a reputation that has spread throughout the world. Laurinda Spear's architecture and design projects, widely covered in the international press, have received a number of awards. Among them, AIA Honor Awards, Awards for Excellence in Architecture and Progressive Architecture Design Awards. Ms. Spear, who was educated at Brown and Columbia Universities and is a
