As buildings are designed to be stable and incorporate the environment, PROJECTS’ architects enjoy the paradox of creating an alarm clock collection which scream with color and rock the
house.
Michael Graves’ Newark Clocks came in four colors. Blue and Black are sold out. Richard Gluckman, Michael Graves, Kisho Kurokawa and
Laurinda Spear each contributed to erecting Building Timepieces II, a collection of alarm clocks which draws its inspiration from an earlier collection of watches designed by them and others and based upon museums. Richard Gluckman’s work displays sensitivity to existing building structures and the needs of modern architecture making him a perfect candidate to design the three dimensional alarm clock with its use of space, light and movement. independent geometric figure or image. This is easily seen in his use of circles and lines. Kisho Kurokawa
